What the application process looks like

🤝

  1. Apply: Introduce yourself and send us your resume at hello@codexhealth.com.
  2. Screen: Our Head of Engineering will reach out to schedule a 50-minute virtual interview if it looks like a good fit. This first interview will be centered around sharing more about Codex as a company, the role, your interests + values, and pair programming on a technical question.
  3. Team Interviews: After that initial screen, you may then have 2-3 virtual technical interviews with members of the team. The technical interview questions will include a mix of logical problem solving, pair programming, and system design. However, we will share the type of questions with you in advance so you have an opportunity to prepare before these interviews - we feel this is more reflective of the “real-world” and focuses less on one’s ability to “think on their feet”.
  4. Final Round: If all goes well, you’ll then have a chance to speak with the CEO and meet the team in person!

What we’d like you to bring to the table

🪑

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, etc.); academic background in biology or computational biology is a strong bonus
  • 7++ years of relevant industry experience as a data scientist with progressive leadership roles, with an ability to lead and mentor team members
  • Expert-level knowledge in probabilistic frameworks, statistical learning, and Machine Learning
  • Fluency in python and modern ML frameworks and their application to large data sets
  • Knowledge of tools to productize data science solutions (replicability, reliability, model versioning, monitoring) and general concepts, including various machine learning approaches, data management, visualization, validation, and productivity tools
  • Strong communication skills to present insights and summarizing complex data to diverse audiences
  • Most of all - a growth mindset, highly collaborative nature, and a strong desire to learn
